High School Football fans celebrated the victory. The winning score was 33-26 in a nail biter over Fayetteville's Seventy First
High School in Chapel Hill. That gave the Red Tornadoes the State 3A Championship and a perfect season record of 13-0.
Hickory quarterback Brady Stober scored the winning touchdown on an eight-yard run with 36 seconds left on the clock.
And on the final play of the game, Hickory intercepted a pass from DeAndre Nance in the end zone to make the win.

The City of Hickory is partnering with the Sabre Society of North Carolina and Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) to construct a building to house the museum's vintage military aircraft, preserve aviation history and provide STEM education and workforce development opportunities to the Hickory region. The expanded Hickory Aviation Museum will feature a hangar to preserve and display aircraft. And will also serve as the site of CVCC's "Workforce Innovation Center", a regional educational campus with flexible use space providing high-tech equipment, classrooms and virtual simulators for training.

This year’s event featured many inspirational testimonies from alumni and was filled with praise and worship music.
Celebrate The Harvest event is Safe Harbor’s main fundraiser for the year. All of the proceeds raised from this exciting event will go
towards funding for the following year for the necessary programs and services that allow the program participants
and guests to receive them free of charge. Safe Harbor is a local nonprofit that focuses on a wholistic approach to provide support for women living in recovery
and housing for women at risk for homelessness, also at no charge. In addition to helping women live in recovery, this local ministry helps
women gain skills for employment, establish independent living and provides various services to assist them by giving them a hand up instead of a hand out.

A ribbon cutting was held to celebrate renovations and the recent addition of a new

Taste of Catawba is a new coffee shop and bakery that opened in January 2023.
Taste of Catawba features coffee and espresso drinks, as well as fresh baked items such as muffins, croissants, breads, bagels, and cinnamon rolls.
